Public Health England estimates that e-cigarettes are 95% less harmful than cigarettes. A 2019 study by the University of Dundee and the British Heart Foundation suggested that within one month of switching from tobacco to e-cigarettes, measures of blood vessel health started to improve.

Vaping isn’t just less harmful to users —it’s also better for others around them. Public Health England have identified no health risks from passive vaping.

 

 

 

 

 

Someone who smokes 20 cigarettes a day can expect to save over £3000 annually by switching from smoking to vaping.

Vaping is significantly cheaper than smoking.

 

 

 

 

 

According to a 2019 report from UCL, e-cigarettes helped an additional 50-70,000 smokers quit in a single year.

Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) also found that over 3 million smokers have managed to quit or reduce their smoking habit by switching to vaping.

 

 

 

 

 

In a survey of 3.2 million ex-smokers, ASH found that 44% of users reported using the same nicotine strength as when they started vaping, whereas 46% have decreased their strength. By contrast, only 10% report having increased their nicotine strength.
